Apple could be working on an AR/VR headset

Come to think of it, Apple has no VR or AR headset, which makes it one of the big-wigs company to not own one. Well that will no longer be the case cause according to CNet, Apple is working on a VR/AR headset.

The headset project which is code named, T288 is a combination of Virtual reality and Augmented reality. CNet who sourced the news from a person popular with Apple’s affairs says the headset will have 8k resolution for each reality. 8k resolution is not yet a thing in television and VR headsets yet even in the next few generations, buy Apple looks to roll out this headset come 2020.

Another striking thing is the cordless concept apple is bringing to the headset. It’s in the nature of Apple products to standout from the crowd, hence the AR/VR headset apple is working one is wireless unlike every other headset now. The VR box would use WiGi (802.11ad)  – a new wireless medium like WiFi.

The box chipset will be boxed up in a 5 nanometer (10 raised to the power of -9) chipset – the smaller the chipset, the better. iPhone X has 10 nanometer chipset, so you’ll expect a better performance from the T288.
