5G enabled LG phones will surface in 2019
Internet speed is a pleasure for smartphone users that phone manufacturers always look to satisfy. Some go too fast while some follow the steady pace.
Sprint has announced it’s partnership with LG electronics US to bring the first 5G enabled smartphone in US. May sound like some good news, but don’t merry yet. Only six major cities will get 5G coverage in US according to Sprint earlier this year.
The LG device that will wield this network power will bear Snapdragon chipset with Qualcomm’s X50 modem , GSMarena hints.
Qualcomm also demoed the X50 chipset, which makes even the X24 seem slow. It will offer speeds up to 5 Gbps, initially working on the 28 GHz band (mmWave) and spanning 800 MHz of bandwidth (split into eight 100 MHz links via MIMO).
How fast is 5G?
