MTN NG one of the major internet service providers in Nigeria always have a hook to get subscribers. We have to tell you this before you go further. MTN mPulse is set apart for young students, giving them cheap access to useful educational materials. MTN says the plan is meant for students between the ages of 9 and 15.

mPulse plan comes with two main features, mTarrif and mWebsite. Both designed to be resourceful and cheap for students educational satisfaction.

mTarrif is where the freebies lies. When you migrate to mTarrif you’ll instantly get hit by N200 airtime on your birthdays, Data Bonus and free WhatsApp for 7 days. To bring in the parents, MTN NG gives parent an option to send airtime and data to their kids automatically. Parents can choose to send airtime and data to their children on a monthly or weekly basis. This we think is a nice way of having your kids with airtime always.

mWebiste is just another educational resource for your children. They get access to preparatory material for Common entrance, JSCE, WAEC and JAMB examinations. MTN threw in intellectual games to keep boredom away.

For the 1.2GB data cap that you get for N150 monthly, you only use it to access mWebsite contents. You can subscribe for a lower N50 bargain that gives you 350MB weekly. Parents who sign up for mTarrif gets parental control of their kids internet activities as they gain control over their kids SIM card and phone. A bit spooky, if you ask me.
